Client Review:
It had been about two years since I got on a plane. At that time I flew from West Palm Beach, Florida to Washington, DC to visit my Son, Daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. I had become so fearful of flying that I could not make the trip back with the family and had to take the train home to Florida.
I had been a frequent flyer for many years, going around the world on business. I don’t really know when the problem started. Each time I flew the anxiety became worse. I stated to worry as soon as my wife made the reservation; sometimes for months before the flight.
After the experience two years ago I looked for a fear of flying program and settled on the SOAR program. I listened to all 11 DVDs and read the weekly newsletters for the past two years but never seemed to get the courage up to take that next trip. On October 12th of this year my 3rd grandchild was born and I decided that I had to make the trip to DC to see him.
I got a copy of the Take Me Along video, wrote out my own notes on why flying was safe and some of the key points from the program. I also wrote out a reminder of the strengthening exercises and took a picture of my first grandchild, my special moment. I also got a pair of noise cancelling headphones which were great.
As the day of the flight approached I noticed that I did not have the same level of anxiety I had in the past. Although still a little tense, I made it easily to the airport and on the plane. I made special note to see the pilot, although I did not speak with him. As we took off I went through all the steps you reviewed in the tapes and realized I had the knowledge necessary to enjoy the flight. I understood what was happening and knew what to expect next. When I got a little nervous I ran through the strengthening exercises and the take me along videos.
The flight up and back was great. My family could not believe I made it and with no anxiety. I am now looking forward to my next flight with my wife. I can’t tell you how much the SOAR program has meant to me but I’m sure you have heard it from many others. Thanks you and your staff for offering this wonderful program.
It is truly a life changing tool.
A SOAR Graduate
